Job summary

Techbond Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to grow and diversify our customer base across Malaysia. You will identify market opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive strategic initiatives to achieve sales targets.

The role requires Mandarin proficiency, willingness to travel frequently, and a solid engineering background. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare monthly forecasts, and report on market trends

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field.
• Mandarin listening, reading and writing proficiency required.
• Willingness to travel very often.
• Results-driven with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of market situations and competitor activity and report back to superiors.
• Make regular planned calls on appropriate personnel within customers’ organizations.
• Attend sales meetings and training programmes as requested.
• Handle credits, complaints, enquiries, quotations, and technical advisory commitments in accordance with company policy.
• Manage total sales to achieve monthly and annual targets.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve new customer targets.
• Update superiors on sales and product development activities via weekly report and conduct regular customer visits.
• Prepare monthly reports on sales performance, rolling forecasts, customer operations and market insights with recommendations on marketing plans.
• Address customer issues immediately and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve them.
• Develop, train, and improve the skills and product knowledge of your respective support team.
• Ensure existing and potential customers are updated on products, testing techniques, process improvements and services.
