Safeguards Group in Malaysia is seeking a Manager, Business Development (Special Project) to drive growth initiatives and manage strategic client relationships.
The role requires 2-5 years in BD or sales, strong communication and negotiation skills, and willingness to travel and work on weekends or public holidays. You will develop markets, prepare proposals, and lead a growing sales pipeline while reporting progress to management.
Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
Developing goals and strategy for business growth that focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
Develop and actively manage own sales pipeline.
Hit or over-achieve against monthly revenue target, based on annual budget.
Manage report and communicate progress accurately and timely to the management. Ie: the successes and areas needing improvements.
Maintain up to date of the product knowledge and competitor product knowledge to ensure an in-depth understanding on the market and to remain competitive.
To act as a credible ambassador on behalf of the company when speaking to potential customers.
Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan.
To ensure consciously promote the company and services that would promote lateral sales and the positive image of the company.
Following industry trends locally and internationally.
To attend to any other assigned task by the management from time – to – time.
Formal Education:
Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
Experience:
At least 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven.
Good understanding of sales processes and business development strategies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to travel and able to work on weekend or public holiday.
