Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Management Information System (MIS) Executive to analyze and improve IT infrastructure operations across networks, servers, cloud, storage and backups to meet current and future business needs.

You will handle user requests, troubleshoot issues, document procedures, and ensure system availability. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Analyse and recommend improvements of IT Infrastructure (Network, Server, Cloud System, Storage, Backup) to support current and future business requirements.
• Attend to users’ requests, troubleshoot problems, provide advice and follow through to meet user needs within SLA.
• Maintain infrastructure health with daily monitoring, patch updates, configuration review and hardware replacement as needed.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure projects and services are implemented per specification and on time.
• Prepare technical documentation, system manuals, workflow processes and SOPs.
• Ensure new equipment setup or configuration changes follow maintenance schedule.
• Conduct System Integration Testing with feedback, revisions, testing and documentation.
• Provide after-hours support as required and perform other tasks directed by management.

Management Information System (MIS) Executive

Analyse and recommend improvements of the overall operations and efficiencies of IT Infrastructure (Network, Server, Cloud System, Storage, Backup etc.) to support current and meet future business requirements.

Maintain a proactive approach in attending to users’ requests, identify and troubleshoot problems, enquiries, provide advice and follow-through in meeting user needs and expectations within a stipulated time to ensure the smooth operation of the end user needs and system availability.

Maintain the infrastructure health by performing daily monitoring, patch updates, configuration review and hardware replacement when is needed.

Liaise with vendors to ensure projects, services and tasks are implemented as per specification and timely manner.

Prepare technical documentation, system manuals, workflow processes, procedures and guidelines and update according to SOP.

Ensure the completion of new equipment setup or configuration changes according to the maintenance schedule or recommended changes.

Ensure Program and System Integration Testing is conduct effectively, feedback is gathered, and revisions are tested, validated, and documented.

Assist in every related area of IT Infrastructure whenever required to ensure the continuous smooth running of the MIS department.

To provide after hours support according to work requirements and job schedule.

To perform any other tasks or assignments as directed by the management from time to time.
