The candidate will handle end-user support, networks, servers, and security, while assisting with projects, documentation, and disaster recovery to maintain business continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven IT support or help desk experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing IT helpdesk tickets.
• Monitor and maintain company networks, servers, and IT systems for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, offering effective solutions.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security protocols.
• Install, configure, and update software and operating systems on company devices.

Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated MIS Executive to join our growing Information & Communication Technology team. This is a full-time position based in Batu Kawan/Bayan Lepas, Penang. As an MIS Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organisation's information systems infrastructure and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. This position is essential to maintaining system reliability, user support, and technical excellence across our business operations.

What you'll be doing

• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, responding to IT helpdesk tickets and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner
• Monitor and maintain company networks, servers, and IT systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, providing effective solutions and preventative maintenance recommendations
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security protocols across the organisation's IT infrastructure
• Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems on company computers and devices
• Maintain detailed documentation of IT incidents, resolutions, and system configurations
• Assist with IT projects and system implementations as required by the IT department
• Support backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity
• Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement improvements to system efficiency and security

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven experience in IT support, help desk support, or a similar technical support role
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified, or equivalent technical certifications are advantageous
• Familiarity with network administration and basic cybersecurity principles is preferred
