Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Head of MIS to lead and manage the MIS Department, overseeing IT systems, infrastructure, applications, networks, databases, and daily technology operations.

You will develop IT strategies, maintain cybersecurity controls, ensure disaster recovery, and work with top management on efficiency, automation, and business performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MIS Department, overseeing IT systems, infrastructure, applications, networks, databases, and daily technology operations.
• Develop and implement IT strategies, preventive maintenance, system recovery, security updates, and business continuity plans.
• Monitor the performance, availability, reliability, and security of IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and databases.
• Ensure timely troubleshooting and resolution of IT issues to minimize downtime and disruption to business operations.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity controls, including access control, patching, data protection, backup, security monitoring, and risk mitigation.
• Work with internal stakeholders to develop cost-effective and scalable IT solutions that support business and operational requirements.
• Work with Top Management to identify and implement technology projects that improve efficiency, productivity, automation, and business performance.
• Lead IT system implementation, integration, digitalization, and technology improvement projects.
• Manage and maintain network connectivity, servers, databases, and IT infrastructure to ensure stable operations.
• Oversee the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of IT hardware, software, systems, and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, and security guidelines in accordance with company requirements and industry best practices.
• Identify and mitigate IT, cybersecurity, and operational risks, including disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, company policies, IT governance, cybersecurity, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop the MIS team, including manpower planning, training, performance management, and technical development.
• Keep updated on emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends, providing recommendations to Management and performing other duties as assigned.
