Job summary

Macdermid Performance Solutions in Malaysia is seeking a skilled HR Generalist to deliver end-to-end HR operations for Malaysia while supporting regional activities in Southeast Asia.

You will manage payroll inputs, employee lifecycle, onboarding, contracts, salary adjustments, and compliance with Malaysian employment law, using SAP SuccessFactors. This role requires 3–5 years in a manufacturing HR environment and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of HR generalist experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on payroll administration and employee lifecycle management experience.
• Knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and statutory requirements.
• Experience with HRIS such as SAP SuccessFactors.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer-focused with proactive, service-oriented mindset.
• Well organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end HR operational support for Malaysia
• Manage the employee lifecycle including recruitment coordination, onboarding, movements, transfers and offboarding
• Prepare employment-related documents including contracts, confirmation, promotion, salary adjustment, transfers and separations letters
• Support monthly payroll by ensuring timely and accurate submission of payroll inputs and validating payroll reports
• Administer employee benefits, insurance, medical claims and statutory requirements
• Maintain accurate employee records and updates in SuccessFactors
• Support probation, performance management and annual salary review processes
• Handle employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
• Coordinate training programmes, employee engagement activities and learning initiatives
• Administer work permits, employment passes and immigration matters where applicable
