TheExecutiveCircle Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced HR leader to manage Malaysia HR operations, employee relations, payroll and compliance, while partnering regionally on HR initiatives. You will lead a team to deliver high-quality HR services across the business and support expatriate matters, recruitment and development.

This role requires a degree in HR or related field, over 10 years in HR, and strong stakeholder management skills.

• Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience with solid exposure to HR operations.
• Experience leading and managing an HR team.
• Experience covering employee relations, recruitment, performance management and employee development.
• Good working knowledge of Malaysian employment practices, payroll and HR compliance.
• Experience handling expatriate matters and general HR administration.
• Exposure to facility management and workplace administration.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with HR systems.
• Exposure to a multinational or regional environment would be an advantage.
• Relevant professional HR credentials would be an added advantage.

This role is primarily responsible for HR operations in Malaysia, with involvement in business partnering and selected regional HR initiatives. The position covers day-to-day HR matters, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, payroll, compliance, facility management and workplace administration. The role also leads and manages the HR team to ensure effective delivery of HR services.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Services

• Manage day-to-day HR processes, employee records, payroll and related administration.
• Ensure HR policies and practices comply with Malaysian employment requirements.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary and performance-related matters.
• Manage expatriate employment matters, including work permits, immigration and relocation.

People & Recruitment

• Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce requirements.
• Coordinate employee development, training and performance management activities.
• Support employee engagement and welfare initiatives.

Business & Regional Support

• Provide HR advice to managers on people-related matters.
• Support management on HR initiatives and process improvements.
• Coordinate with the regional HR team on relevant programmes and requirements.
• Prepare HR reports and information for management.

Team & Workplace Management

• Lead and manage the HR team, providing direction and support to ensure effective delivery of HR services.
• Oversee facility management and day-to-day workplace operations.
• Manage office services, vendors and related administrative matters.
• Assist with HR and administrative budgeting and monitor related expenditure.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, with solid exposure to HR operations.
• Experience leading and managing an HR team.
• Experience covering employee relations, recruitment, performance management and employee development.
