Job summary

PRISM+ Malaysia is seeking an on-site HR Generalist to manage Malaysia payroll, employee relations, and local hiring. You will implement payroll cycles, ensure statutory contributions, and support HR projects with cross-border coordination with the Singapore People team.

The role requires 2–4 years of HR generalist experience, hands-on payroll, and strong Excel skills. You will work closely with regional teams to keep processes compliant and efficient.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of HR generalist experience in a fast-moving SME, retail, or non-office staff context.
• Has run Malaysia payroll hands-on, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and Form EA, with high accuracy.
• Solid working knowledge of the Employment Act and Industrial Relations Act, including domestic inquiries.
• Comfortable handling sensitive conversations with discretion and good judgment.
• Strong in Google Sheets or Excel.
• Works well with a manager based in another country, takes ownership to finish tasks.

Responsibilities

• Payroll & Compensation: run monthly Malaysia payroll from start to finish including new joins, leaves, claims, overtime, commission and deductions.
• Calculate and submit statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD) and HRD Corp levy.
• Prepare year-end filings (Form EA, Form E, CP22/CP22A/CP21) and validate payroll against HR system.
• Support the annual appraisal cycle: increments, bonus calculations, and letters.
• Employee & Employer Relations: be first point of contact for questions across office, retail and technician teams.
• Handle domestic inquiries, disciplinary cases, grievances and exits with proper documentation.
• Hiring: end-to-end hiring for Malaysia including job posts, screening, interviews, offers and onboarding.
• HR Projects & Operations: own Malaysia HR projects from scoping to rollout, HR dashboards and policy localization.
