Job summary

Astro Malaysia is seeking a talented content professional to develop and execute digital-first BM branded content for Malay audiences. You will publish articles and social media content aligned with client pitches and revenue goals across Astro’s digital ecosystem.

The role requires at least 2 years of BM digital content experience, strong Bahasa Melayu and English communication skills, and proficiency in Canva/CapCut.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Journalism, or related fields.
• Strong command of Bahasa Melayu; working level of English required.
• More than 2 years experience in BM digital content, editorial, or branded content.
• Experienced in Canva and CapCut.
• Solid understanding of social media, digital content formats, local entertainment and lifestyle trends, and Malay audience behaviour.
• Strong storytelling instincts with an interest in commercial outcomes.
• Organised, timely, proactive, and adaptable.
• A collaborative team player who can work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• To develop and execute digital-first BM branded content for Malay audiences that support client content pitches and revenue objectives across Astro’s digital ecosystem.
• Create and publish BM branded articles and social media content for Malay audiences based on client briefs
• Contribute to Malay-market content innovation/ content pitch ideas and proposal development
• Stay updated on Malay digital trends, social media formats, and audience behaviour
• Content should take each platform’s specific content DNA and audience demographic into consideration
• Identify content opportunities that can enhance content innovation/content pitch and proposal strength
• Align content ideas with engagement and reach objectives
• Apply performance insights to strengthen content recommendations
• Work closely with Sales, Campaign Managers and Content teams to ensure strategies are executable and delivered on time
