Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure machines operate safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support electrical tasks in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

The role requires 1–2 years of relevant experience, a SC/ Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering, and a pro-active, independent work style with good problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum SKM Level 3 or Diploma / Professional Certificate in Electrical & Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering.
• Certificate like AO / A1 / PW2 from Suruhanjaya Tenaga is an advantage.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical repair and mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Carry out electrical installations and routine maintenance work.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks as required.
• Monitor contractors’ work for safety compliance and quality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine breakdown issues promptly.
• Carry out electrical installations and maintenance works.
• Execute both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and supervise contractors’ work to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the superior when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum SKM Level 3 / Diploma / Professional Certificate in Electrical & Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Candidates with AO / A1 / PW2 Wireman Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga will have an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge in electrical repair and mechanical maintenance.
• At least 1–2 years of working experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
