Job summary

Metex Steel in Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, machinery and industrial automation equipment to support continuous production.

You will carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, maintain reliability of electrical control systems, and provide technical support to ensure smooth plant operations while following safety SOPs.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Perform repair and routine maintenance on machinery and automation equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and SOPs during maintenance work.

Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, machinery and industrial automation equipment.

Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition and minimise breakdowns and downtime.

Maintain and ensure the reliability of electrical control systems and equipment to support production requirements.

Provide technical and maintenance support to ensure smooth plant operations.

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, SOPs and procedures.

Requirement(s):

Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics or equivalent.

Relevant working experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.

Able to work independently as well as effectively within a maintenance team.
