Job summary

HQ Pack is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and document all activities. The role requires attention to detail and strong safety practices on-site in Kulai, Johor.

You will prepare maintenance reports, monitor spare parts inventory, liaise with suppliers, and support emergency tasks as needed. A Diploma or engineering certification and 3+ years of relevant experience are expected, with proficiency in

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable working experience in mechanical or electrical or electromechanical repairs/maintenance
• Diploma or industry-recognized certification in Engineering
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for electrical & mechanical machines and tools
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, design drawings and specifications
• Willing to learn new skills on own initiative and multitasking
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality maintenance services
• Must be safety-minded. Previous safety training in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office knowledge; Good English & Bahasa communication skills

Responsibilities

• Schedule, perform and document periodically preventive maintenance for machineries and equipments
• Troubleshooting and repairing machinery, equipment and facilities used in the company
• Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly PM or repair summary reports for review
• Establishing and monitoring the machine spare parts inventory to minimize machine downtime
• Develop and execute a preventive maintenance program to proactively address potential equipment failures
• Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies
• Liaise with the machine supplier on troubleshooting and repairing activities
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules
• Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety guidelines and regulations
• Support on any ad-hoc or emergency task that may be assigned by Operation Manager and management

Scheduling, performing and documenting periodically preventive maintenance for machineries and equipments ( digital cutter, air compressor,heat sealer, etc)

Troubleshooting and repairing machinery, equipment and facilities use in the company

Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly PM or repair summary reports for review

Establishing and monitoring the machine spare parts inventory to minimize machine downtime

Develop and execute a preventive maintenance program to proactively address potential equipment failures, extend equipment life, and maintain optimal performance.

Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs, ensuring their availability when needed.

To liaise with the machine supplier on the troubleshooting and repairing activities

Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.

Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety guidelines and regulations. Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by ensuring that policies and safety procedures are followed.

To be able to support on any ad-hoc or emergency task that may be assigned by Operation Manager and management from time to time

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of verifiable working experience in mechanical or electrical or electromechanical repairs/maintenance

Candidate must have at least Diploma or industry-recognized certification in Engineering
