Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Supervisor to assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other building systems in the hotel.

You will prepare periodic maintenance reports for guest rooms and public areas, monitor engineering activities, perform painting, masonry, carpentry, door/window work, install hardware, and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum Professional Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related working experience as Senior Technician/Supervisor.
• Physically fit and able to endure harsh working conditions.
• Ability to interpret readings from meters and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
• Prepare periodical reports of repairs and maintenance for guest rooms, service and public areas.
• Record all important engineering happenings and events during shift.
• Monitor work by outside contractors and report to superiors.
• Submit requests for procurement of spare parts and materials and maintain tool/equipment inventories.

To assist Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems.

• Prepare periodical reports of repairs and maintenance of guest rooms, service and public area.
• Records all important and significant engineering happenings and events that happen during shift.
• Performs all painting and varnishing jobs.
• Performs masonry, carpentry works.
• Install, replace, and fix doors, windows including the hardware.
• Repair all furniture of guest rooms, public and service area.
• Performs repair and maintain works to building, guest rooms, public and service areas of the hotel concerning civil section.
• Program TV’s and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Monitor work done by outside contractors and report it to superiors.
• Submit request to the superior for the procurement of spare parts, materials etc.
• Maintains all tool and equipment in civil section.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of work area.
• Ensure fire and safety systems work properly.
• Do any other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Requirement :

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably at least 2 years of related working experience as Senior Technician/Supervisor
• Physically fit and able to endure harsh working conditions.
• Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
