The Maintenance Executive is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance, repair, and operation of the hotel’s building, facilities, machinery, equipment, and engineering systems. The position ensures that all hotel facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, reliable, and presentable condition to support smooth daily operations and a positive guest experience.
Job Requirement
- -Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Engineering, or related field.
- -Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in maintenance, engineering, or facilities management.
- -Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance.
- -Possess relevant authorised/competency certificates or other maintenance-related certifications will be an advantage.
- -Able to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- -Familiar with Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM).
- -Good planning, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- -Able to manage contractors, suppliers, and maintenance schedules.
- -Good knowledge of workplace safety and maintenance procedures.
- -Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation.
- -Good communication skills and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- -Willing attend to emergency breakdowns when required.
- -Possess a valid driving licence and willing to travel between company facilities, if required.
Key Responsibilities
- -Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance for hotel facilities and equipment.
- -Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, kitchens, offices, and building facilities.
- -Maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems.
- -Attend to breakdowns, maintenance complaints, and emergency repairs promptly.
- -Conduct regular inspections to identify defects, safety hazards, and potential equipment failures.
- -Coordinate maintenance, servicing, repairs, and installation works with contractors and service providers.
- -Monitor contractor performance, work quality, safety, and completion timelines.
- -Maintain maintenance schedules, work orders, service records, spare parts, and inventory.
- -Assist with maintenance budgets, quotations, procurement, renovation, and improvement projects.
- -Monitor energy and utility usage and recommend cost‑saving measures.
- -Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
- -Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments to minimise disruption to guests.
- -Respond to emergency situations such as power failure, water leakage, equipment breakdown, and air‑conditioning failure.
- -Prepare maintenance reports.
