Job summary

Otis is seeking a service mechanic for one of our entities located in Singapore. Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and stakeholders by safely maintaining a portfolio of elevator and escalator units.

You will carry out 100% of maintenance and service visits within your territory, manage the portfolio of elevators in your area, respond quickly to fix breakdowns, and perform minor repairs to keep systems operating. Collaborative work with customers on site is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or certificate in technical field.
• Hold a driver's license.
• At least 12 months of elevator sector experience.
• Good skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
• A committed professional with safety as priority.
• Effective communication with others.
• Capable of working alone or in a team.
• Comfortable using electronic and digital tools.

Responsibilities

On a typical day you will:

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory
• Work within your defined geographical area/territory, managing the portfolio of elevators within it
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix
• Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship

What you will need to be successful

• Minimum SPM or certificate in technical field
• Hold a driver's license
• At least 12 months of experience in the elevator sector
• Good skills in electricity and electrical engineering
• A committed professional, with safety as your priority
• Comfortable communicating to others
• Curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team
• Comfortable using electronic and digital tools
