Job summary

Otis Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Kota Kinabalu to ensure safe operation of elevator and escalator units. You will service, troubleshoot, and maintain systems according to the established maintenance program.

Work with a team, report issues to supervisors, and may join 24-hour standby. The company provides training, modern gear, and a supportive, safety-driven environment that prioritizes quality and employee growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, preferably with technical certificate.
• Basic Electrical, Electronic and or Mechanical knowledge with 2 years of relevant experiences.
• Able to trouble shoot and solve technical problem will have added advantage.
• Familiar with elevator/lift and escalator operation.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Results-driven and committed.
• Comfortable dealing with customers.
• Brings a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all servicing, replacements, repairs and troubleshooting work are diligently and professionally performed according to the Company's maintenance program and work schedule.
• To report all abnormal findings to superior, supervisor and or engineer for further action.
• To ensure that all the work performed (i.e. servicing, parts replacement, repairs and breakdown) are accompanied by relevant job-sheet acknowledged by the respective customer.
• To attend as soon as reasonably possible, to all breakdown callback assignment. Priority is to be given for 'man trap' situation.
• To perform other repair works as instructed by the Supervisor and or Engineer.
• Might be required for 24-hour Breakdown Callback Standby duties.
• Any other duties that may be given by the Supervisor from time to time.
