Qualifications

Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is currently partnering with an organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Maintenance Manager. This opportunity is based in Malaysia .

Position Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, reliability, and compliance of factory machinery, utilities, and facilities to ensure uninterrupted and efficient operations. It plays a critical role in safeguarding operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and sustainability performance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering, Maintenance & Facilities

• Maintain, inspect, and repair factory machinery, utilities, and facilities including production equipment, warehouse equipment, HVAC/ACMV, compressed air systems, electrical systems, fire protection systems, and building infrastructure.
• Establish, execute, and continuously improve the Preventive Maintenance (PM) programme.
• Supervise external contractors and service providers.
• Support machinery installation, modification, and commissioning activities.

2. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory

• Assist in safety incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Support compliance with relevant authorities including DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, and ST.
• Oversee Scheduled Waste management and WWTP operations in line with regulatory requirements.

3. Projects, Improvement & Sustainability

• Support production, process improvement, and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Manage and support engineering and sustainability-related projects, including solar PV systems and water recycling initiatives.
• Study and propose improvements to reduce energy and utility consumption.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with local and overseas vendors, contractors, and service providers.

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical / Functional Expertise

• Experience in factory utilities, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work with AutoCAD software and reading schematic diagrams.

Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies

• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
