Job summary

Luminous Beauty Glass Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah seeks an experienced M&E Manager to lead maintenance and utility operations in a manufacturing setting. You will establish equipment management systems, develop maintenance and inspection plans, and oversee fault diagnosis and repairs.

The role also covers energy efficiency, safety compliance, and building a capable M&E team. You will coordinate recruitment, set performance goals, and ensure safe operation of power, water, gas, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automation engineering.
• 5+ years in mechanical/electrical maintenance in manufacturing.
• Experience in planning/installation/commissioning/acceptance of utility systems.
• Some team leadership experience.
• Fluent Chinese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement the factory equipment management system including maintenance strategies.
• Develop and execute annual/monthly maintenance plans and inspections for key equipment.
• Organise fault diagnosis, emergency repair, and system transformation to minimise downtime.
• Operate and assure utility systems (power, water, gas, air) safely and efficiently.

Luminous Beauty Glass Sdn Bhd – Kulim, Kedah

• (1) Establish and implement the factory equipment management system, including equipment ledger and maintenance strategies (preventive and corrective maintenance).
• (2) Develop, optimise and strictly execute annual / monthly maintenance plans and inspection plans for all key production equipment and utility facilities.
• (3) Organise and lead equipment fault diagnosis, emergency repair, overhaul and technical transformation to minimise downtime.

2. Utility system operation and assurance:

• (1) Fully responsible for the safe, stable and efficient operation of the factory's power supply, compressed air system, cooling water system, water supply and drainage system, natural gas system, etc.
• (2) Monitor utility system operating parameters, conduct energy consumption analysis, and propose and implement energy‑saving and consumption‑reduction schemes.

3. Safety management and training:

• (1) Responsible for the formulation, updating and implementation of mechanical and electrical safety regulations in the factory.
• (2) Organise and implement training and assessment on mechanical and electrical safety knowledge, equipment operation specifications and emergency handling procedures for operators, technicians and other relevant personnel.

4. M&E team building and management:

• (1) Coordinate recruitment, formation, daily management, work assignment and performance appraisal of M&E technicians.
• (2) Cultivate team members' skills and improve the overall technical capability and work efficiency of the team.

Basic Qualifications:

• 1. Education: Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or related engineering fields; fluent Chinese is preferred.
• (1) 5+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance, management or engineering projects in a manufacturing factory environment; experience in being responsible for or deeply involved in the planning, installation, commissioning and acceptance of utility systems (water, electricity, gas) in a new factory or factory expansion project is preferred.
• (2) Rich experience in production equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis and transformation.
• (3) Some team leadership experience.

3. Professional skills:

• (1) Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• (2) Skilled in common PLC, frequency converters, touch screen / HMI (interface operation, basic settings).
• (3) In‑depth understanding of the basic principles and operation & maintenance essentials of factory high / low voltage distribution systems, air compressor systems and water treatment systems.
• (4) Familiar with the principles and maintenance of mechanical transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• (5) Hold a valid Malaysian Grade A electrical license (PW4) or equivalent qualification, and familiar with local electrical safety regulations.
