Responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, safety and performance of production equipment and plant utilities through effective maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement. The role provides technical leadership to the maintenance team in driving plant reliability and maintenance excellence.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimise unplanned downtime.
- Lead troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and recurring equipment failures, ensuring sustainable corrective actions.
- Monitor equipment performance, maintenance trends, PM compliance, work orders and maintenance KPIs.
- Manage and maintain accurate SAP-PM equipment, notification, work order and maintenance history records.
- Identify and implement reliability, equipment and process improvement opportunities.
- Lead or support maintenance projects, equipment upgrades, modifications, installation and commissioning.
- Provide technical support for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation and process equipment.
- Support reliability of critical plant utilities including electrical systems, compressors, chillers, thermal oil/heating systems, pumps, nitrogen, LPG/NG, fire protection systems.
- Manage technical aspects of contractors, service providers, suppliers and equipment manufacturers.
- Support critical spare-parts management, maintenance budget and cost optimisation.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with HSE, statutory and engineering requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching and support to maintenance technicians.
- Work closely with Production and other departments to resolve equipment issues and improve overall plant performance.
- Promote a proactive, reliability-focused maintenance culture and continuous improvement mindset.
Drive the transition from reactive breakdown maintenance to a proactive, reliability-driven maintenance system that improves equipment availability, reduces downtime and optimises maintenance cost

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree OR Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years (for Degree holder) and 5 years (for Diploma holder) of relevant maintenance/engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Experience with SAP-PM or CMMS, RCA, reliability improvement and maintenance projects.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation and utility systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.
- Proactive, hands-on and results-oriented with strong ownership and accountability.
