Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Machinist role based in Pasir Gudang. The Machinist will operate and monitor various machine tools to manufacture parts according to technical drawings and specifications. Daily tasks include setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools and materials, performing measurements and inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy, and maintaining production records. The role also involves routine machine maintenance, identifying and reporting equipment issues, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet production targets and quality standards. Adherence to safety procedures and company policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong technical and mechanical skills, including experience operating and setting up conventional and/or CNC machines, reading technical drawings, and using measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Candidates should possess skills in quality control and inspection, including visual inspection, dimensional checks, and understanding of basic tolerances and quality standards.
• Candidates should possess skills in equipment care and safety, including routine machine maintenance, safe handling of tools and materials, and adherence to workplace safety regulations.
• Candidates should possess problem-solving and continuous improvement skills, including the ability to identify machining issues, suggest process improvements, and support efficient production workflows.
• Candidates should possess communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to follow instructions, document work accurately, and collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and colleagues.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in machining, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred; prior experience as a machinist or in a similar manufacturing role is highly advantageous.
