Job summary

MLDC Berhad, a growing integrated property developer, is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Design Engineer to join its building services team in Subang Jaya. You will develop and coordinate M&E designs for high-rise and mixed-use projects, aligned with standards and authorities.

Responsibilities include preparing calculations, 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD or ArchiCAD, coordinating with architects and contractors, reviewing shop drawings, and supporting on-site construction to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in M&E design for building or construction projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D), ArchiCAD (3D), or equivalent design software, with ability to develop M&E designs.
• Good knowledge of building M&E systems, Malaysian authority requirements, engineering standards, and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) designs, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, sanitary, electrical, ELV, and other building services systems in accordance with project requirements, relevant standards, and authority regulations.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical drawings, 2D and 3D models, and design documentation using AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, or other relevant design software.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, consultants, authorities, and other stakeholders to resolve design coordination and technical issues.
• Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to technical queries, and ensuring M&E designs are implemented correctly.
• Participate in testing and commissioning activities to verify system performance and compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare and maintain as-built drawings, authority submission documents, and project design records throughout the project lifecycle.

Good knowledge of building M&E systems, Malaysian authority requirements, engineering standards, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project team.
