Job summary

Jora Malaysia invites applications for a Mechanical Engineer role. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required, with preferably 2+ years in M&E or Fire Protection.

Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and eagerness to learn are welcome. Candidate should read and interpret drawings and technical documents, communicate well in English, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain documentation, drawings, and reports.
Coordinate with installation team to clarify requirements.
To ensure that design meet project / design brief and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Continually improve and optimize design for cost, process and quality.
Review M&E design drawings and specifications, providing technical input where necessary.
To liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities.
To report design and development progress to Director/Project Manager.
To maintain of AUTOCAD software and backup devices and to ensure that all graphic documents produced are always of consistent and good quality.
Approves As-Built drawings and ensuring that drawings are produced in a way that is useful for commissioning, maintenance and handing over to the client.
Conduct site inspections to ensure work is carried out according to standards, codes, and safety regulations.

Preferably with at least 2 years of working experience in the M&E or Fire Protection industry.

Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.

Knowledge of fire protection systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and authority submissions will be an added advantage.

Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites when required.
