Job summary

Softenger in Penang is seeking a Logistics & Warehouse Operations Assistant to support both logistics operations and warehouse material handling, ensuring smooth import/export processes and accurate inventory control.

You will coordinate shipments, maintain warehouse records in SAP/Oracle/WMS, perform cycle counts, and assist with picking, packing and delivery while adhering to Incoterms and regulatory requirements. Strong communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related field preferred for logistics functions.
• 3–6 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or material handling.
• Proficiency with SAP/Oracle/WMS is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Incoterms and customs regulations.

Responsibilities

• Submit and coordinate customs reports for importation with MIDA approval & SST application.
• Coordinate bookings for import/export via courier and freight forwarder; track shipment status.
• Ensure timely shipment of products matching customer orders.
• Receive, verify, and store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Support picking, packing, and delivery for outgoing shipments.
• Maintain inventory records in SAP, Oracle, and WMS; perform cycle counts and inventories.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Collaborate with logistics and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Handle special projects and support operational improvements as assigned.

Logistics & Warehouse Operations Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support both logistics operations and warehouse material handling functions in Penang. This combined role ensures smooth import/export processes, accurate inventory management, and efficient material flow across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Submit customs reports for importation upon receiving MIDA approval & SST application.

Coordinate bookings for import/export via courier and freight forwarder and follow up on shipment status.

Ensure timely shipment of products that match customer orders.

Receive, verify, and store incoming materials safely in designated warehouse locations.

Support picking, packing, and delivery for outgoing shipments.

Maintain accurate inventory records in warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle, WMS).

Perform cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure stock accuracy.

Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.

Collaborate with logistics and functional teams to ensure smooth material flow.

Handle special projects and support operational improvements as assigned.

Familiarity with Incoterm and customs regulations (PCA, overseas, FIZ & LMW).

Experience in warehouse/material handling and inventory systems.

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Computer literacy and ability to learn new applications.

Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Education & Experience

Diploma in a related field (preferred for logistics functions).

High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement for warehouse functions).
