Job summary

Penang Automation Cluster Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Logistics Supervisor to supervise daily logistics, warehouse, and material handling activities. You will ensure inventory cycle counts are conducted and processes are optimized to reduce wastage, with focus on timely deliveries and accurate documentation.

The role requires 3–5 years in a related field, preferably in metal fabrication manufacturing, with strong leadership and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Business Administration/Business Studies/Business Management/Supply Chain Management/Warehouse Management.
• 3–5 years of related experience, preferably within the metal fabrication manufacturing industry.
• Experience handling raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and subcontractor processes is an advantage.
• Familiar with inventory control, delivery coordination, and shipment documentation.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily logistics, warehouse, and material handling activities.
• Ensure store inventory cycle counts and wall-to-wall counts are conducted according to planned schedules.
• Ensure optimum planning to achieve set goals for store operation.
• Develop and implement a continual improvement program to achieve shortest cycle times and optimal material management.
• Track delivery status and follow up on delayed, damaged, or missing shipments.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries and ensure goods are properly packed, labelled, and handled.
• Review and analyze inventory reports/store activities with suggestions and recommendations.
• Monitor stock level for assembly parts and trigger replenishment of safety stock in a timely manner.
• Oversee coordination of shipment deliveries by in-house drivers or outsourced transporters.
• Ensure filing of documentation is performed in an orderly manner and retrievable as required.
• Perform any duties assigned by supervisor or manager from time to time.
