Job summary

Tanjung Marine Sdn Bhd in Penang invites a experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations, including export/import and customs coordination.

You will act as main contact for customers, ensure accurate shipping docs, and work with warehouse and transport teams to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires 3–5 years' freight forwarding, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of port systems and DagangNet.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• 3–5 years freight forwarding experience with exposure to customs brokerage.
• 1–2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of port systems, DagangNet, and customs procedures.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for customers on shipment enquiries and updates, resolve issues promptly, maintain strong client relationships, and provide excellent customer service.
• Coordinate end-to-end shipment process (export/import/transshipment), ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements, monitor shipment movement and coordinate with warehouse and transport teams for cargo handling.
• Ensure accuracy of all shipping documents and system entries, handle customs clearance coordination and documentation, ensure compliance with import/export procedures and Incoterms, maintain proper record-keeping for all shipments.
• Handle shipment delays, cargo damage, or customs issues, provide solutions to minimize disruption, and provide internal updates on shipment status and issues to stakeholders.

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field

Minimum 3–5 years of freight forwarding experience, with strong exposure to customs brokerage and at least 1–2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience.

Strong working knowledge of Port System, DagangNet, documentation, permits, HS code classification, OGA and customs procedures.

Proven track record of dealing with regulatory agencies and port authorities.

Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).

Good communication and coordination skills and able to work independently

Strong problem-solving abilities

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments

Good to Have

• Mandarin proficiency (added advantage due to business communication needs)
• Familiarity with warehouse and transport coordination
