Job summary

Tanjung Marine Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Freight Forwarding Supervisor with 3–5 years of experience to lead logistics operations, oversee customs clearance, and coordinate shipments end-to-end.

The ideal candidate has a diploma/degree in logistics, strong knowledge of DagangNet and port procedures, and is fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with Mandarin an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3–5 years freight forwarding experience with exposure to customs brokerage.
• 1–2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Port System, DagangNet, documentation, permits, HS code classification, OGA and customs procedures.
• Proven experience dealing with regulatory agencies and port authorities.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Good communication and coordination skills, ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for customers on shipment enquiries and updates, resolve issues promptly, maintain strong relationships for repeat business.
• Coordinate end-to-end shipment process (export/import/transshipment), ensure customs compliance, monitor movement and liaise with warehouse and transport teams.
• Ensure accuracy of shipping documents and system entries, handle customs clearance coordination and documentation, maintain records.
• Handle shipment delays, cargo damage, or customs issues and provide timely internal updates to stakeholders.

• Coordinate end-to-end shipment process (export/import/transshipment), ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements, monitor shipment movement and ensure timely delivery, and coordinate with warehouse and transport teams for cargo handling.
• Ensure accuracy of all shipping documents and system entries, handle customs clearance coordination and documentation, ensure compliance with import/export procedures and Incoterms, and maintain proper record-keeping for all shipments
• Handle shipment delays, cargo damage, or customs issues, provide solutions and alternatives to minimize disruption, and provide internal updates on shipment status and issues to relevant stakeholders
