Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Freight Forwarding Supervisor with a Diploma/Degree in Logistics or related field to lead and coordinate shipment activities in Penang. You will manage end-to-end freight forwarding tasks, including customs brokerage, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of freight forwarding experience, strong knowledge of port systems and DagangNet, and proven leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of freight forwarding experience, with strong exposure to customs brokerage and at least 1–2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Port System, DagangNet, documentation, permits, HS code classification, OGA and customs procedures.
• Proven track record of dealing with regulatory agencies and port authorities.
• Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Good communication and coordination skills and able to work independently
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments
• Mandarin proficiency (added advantage due to business communication needs)

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for customers on shipment enquiries and updates, resolve customer complaints, delays, or shipment issues promptly, maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business, and provide excellent customer service and support
• Coordinate end-to-end shipment process (export/import/transshipment), ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements, monitor shipment movement and ensure timely delivery, and coordinate with warehouse and transport teams for cargo handling.
• Ensure accuracy of all shipping documents and system entries, handle customs clearance coordination and documentation, ensure compliance with import/export procedures and Incoterms, and maintain proper record-keeping for all shipments
• Handle shipment delays, cargo damage, or customs issues, provide solutions and alternatives to minimize disruption, and provide internal updates on shipment status and issues to relevant stakeholders
