Job summary

MDUA MOTOR SDN. BHD. is seeking a logistics coordination professional to manage daily import/export shipments, freight arrangements and documentation.

You will work with local and overseas vendors, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate documentation. The role requires 2–4 years in logistics or related fields, with familiarity in China-related shipments and strong English, plus Mandarin a bonus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, import/export or transportation coordination.
• Experience handling export/import shipments from China to Malaysia preferred.
• Familiarity with sea freight, air freight, customs clearance and local transportation.
• Proficient in English; Mandarin a plus for China-based vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily logistics operations including import/export shipments and freight arrangements.
• Work with local and overseas vendors, freight forwarders, shipping agents, customs agents, transporters and internal departments to ensure shipments are properly arranged, accurately documented and delivered within the required timeline.
• Source and negotiate with forwarders to secure lower freight rates.
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Sales and other relevant departments to optimize shipping processes.
• Monitor shipping schedules and liaise with all shipping parties to ensure timely movement of consignments.
• Verify freight bills, monitor freight outward tracking and submit cost saving, cost impact and accrual reports to HOD.
• Maintain regular communication with China-based vendors and suppliers to coordinate shipment arrangements and documentation.
• Follow up closely on shipment delays, changes in vessel schedules, transhipment and other logistics issues.
• Ensure goods are delivered according to the required delivery schedule.
• Prepare, check and maintain shipping and import/export documentation.
• Monitor ETD, ETA, vessel/flight details and delivery status.

Key responsibilities

Work closely with local and overseas vendors, freight forwarders, shipping agents, customs agents, transporters and internal departments to ensure shipments are properly arranged, accurately documented and delivered within the required timeline

Jobs Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration or a related field.

2-4 years of working experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, import/export or transportation coordination.

Experience in handling export and import shipments from China to Malaysia will be highly preferred.

Experience dealing directly with China-based vendors/suppliers is an added advantage.

Familiarity with sea freight, air freight, customs clearance and local transportation arrangements.

Good knowledge of shipping and import/export documentation.

Good command of English for business communication and correspondence.

Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage, particularly when dealing with China-based vendors.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.

Good organizational, coordination and follow-up skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Able to work independently and meet shipment deadlines.
