SK Nexilis Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Executive to plan, coordinate, and optimize domestic and international shipments, ensuring safe, on-time delivery while coordinating with internal teams, freight forwarders, carriers, and customers. The Logistic Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing shipping and logistics activities to ensure the safe, efficient, accurate, and timely movement of products, equipment, materials, and other goods. The role involves technical coordination, shipment planning, documentation, logistics optimization, and collaboration with internal departments, customers, freight forwarders, carriers, and other external parties.
Plan and coordinate domestic and international shipments based on delivery requirements and project schedules.
Review shipping requirements, product specifications, dimensions, weight, and packaging requirements.
Develop and optimize shipping methods, routes, schedules, and transportation arrangements.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers.
Prepare and verify shipping documents, including packing lists, commercial invoices, delivery orders, shipping instructions, and other relevant documentation.
Ensure shipments comply with applicable company procedures, customer requirements, customs regulations, and transportation requirements.
Coordinate the handling and transportation of oversized, heavy, fragile, or special cargo where applicable.
Assess packaging, loading, unloading, lifting, and transportation requirements to minimize risks and prevent damage.
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, damages, or other logistics issues.
Work closely with engineering, production, warehouse, procurement, quality, and project teams to ensure shipment readiness.
Support cost analysis and identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency and reduce logistics costs.
Maintain accurate shipping records, reports, and shipment tracking information.
Investigate shipping-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions where required.
Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping, logistics, packaging, and transportation processes.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field.
Minimum [2–5] years of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, supply chain, transportation, or engineering operations.
Experience in international shipping and freight coordination is an advantage.
Knowledge of shipping documentation, customs procedures, and transportation processes.
Experience handling technical, oversized, heavy, or special cargo is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with ERP, WMS, or logistics management systems.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with multiple departments and external parties.
Willing to travel or work outside normal hours when required.
Relevant professional certifications in logistics, supply chain, dangerous goods, customs, or safety would be an advantage, depending on the nature of the company's operations.
