Job summary

Straits Design Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to identify new opportunities and drive market strategies in collaboration with the Sales Manager.

You will engage with consultants, contractors, developers and government agencies, translate project needs to the Applications Department, and develop a robust project pipeline to hit annual budgets. Candidates with a Diploma and 2–3 years of sales experience are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma in technical or marketing discipline required.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CAD knowledge is a plus.
• 2–3 years sales experience preferred; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Strong communication with clients.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin advantageous.
• Independent yet a team player; willing to travel across Malaysia.
• Valid driving license with own vehicle required.

Job Scope

• 1. Identify new opportunities, obtain market information and formulate sales and marketing strategies with Sales Manager.
• 2. Identify relevant projects and follow up on current projects with consultants, contractors, developers and government agencies.
• 3. Understand project needs and lighting standards and communicate accurately to Applications Department.
• 4. Develop and update Project Pipeline in a timely manner to meet yearly sales budget.
• 5. Prepare quotation, conduct price negotiations, receive orders and collect payments post delivery.

Qualifications

• 1. In possession of at least a Diploma in any Technical or Marketing Discipline. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and relevant working experience.
• 2. Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge of CAD will be an advantage
• 3. Preferably with at least 2-3 years sales experience. However, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Lighting knowledge will be offered via in-house training.
• 4. A good communicator as you will be in constant contact with clients.
• 5. Be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of additional languages such as Mandarin will be an advantage.
• 6. Able to work independently but yet, enjoy working within a team.
• 7. Possess a valid driving license, with own car as you will be expected to travel extensively within Malaysia.
