We are seeking a Legal Executive to operate within a sophisticated family office and private wealth environment. This role demands exceptional capability in drafting, reviewing, and structuring complex legal frameworks, including trusts, succession planning arrangements, investment structures, and other private wealth related documentation. The ideal candidate will work closely with leading external counsel and in house legal partners to ensure that all legal structures are meticulously designed, fully compliant with applicable laws and regulations, and strategically aligned with the long term preservation, protection, and growth of generational wealth. This position requires precision, discretion, and the ability to navigate multi jurisdictional legal and regulatory landscapes while upholding the highest standards of fiduciary responsibility, governance, and professional integrity.
Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of legal documentation, including corporate, commercial, governance, trust, fiduciary, and private wealth related documents.
Provide practical, commercially sound, and risk-aware legal advice to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Monitor, interpret, and apply relevant laws, regulations, and regulatory developments relating to corporate, contractual, commercial, trust, wills, probate, and estate planning matters.
Provide legal support and guidance on corporate governance, trust structures, fiduciary duties, estate planning-related matters, and other connected legal and regulatory issues.
Oversee and manage corporate secretarial matters for the Company and its related entities, including statutory compliance, regulatory filings, corporate records, and governance matters.
Support board and management matters, including preparation and review of resolutions, minutes, governance papers, and other corporate documentation.
Draft, review, update, and maintain internal legal, governance, compliance, and operational policies, frameworks, templates, and standard operating procedures.
Support the establishment, review, and enhancement of governance frameworks, internal controls, and legal risk management processes.
Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal and regulatory risks affecting the Company and its related entities.
Work closely with internal stakeholders across business, operations, finance, and management teams to ensure alignment on legal, regulatory, governance, and operational requirements.
Liaise and coordinate with external stakeholders, including company secretaries, regulators, auditors, trustees, service providers, and external legal counsel on legal, corporate, and compliance related matters.
Maintain proper legal and statutory records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely upkeep of documentation.
Undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent professional legal qualification.
Called to the Bar and/or holding a practising certificate would be an advantage, where relevant.
Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in legal practice, in-house legal, corporate secretarial, trust, fiduciary, private wealth, conveyancing or related fields.
Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, contractual, governance, trust, wills, estate planning, and regulatory matters.
Experience in reviewing and drafting legal documentation with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with corporate secretarial practices, statutory compliance requirements, and governance documentation.
Good understanding of fiduciary obligations, trust structures, and private wealth-related legal arrangements would be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and legal reasoning skills.
Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Mature, discreet, and able to handle confidential and sensitive matters with professionalism.
Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a wider team. Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage, particularly for reviewing documents and liaising with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with experience, expertise, and the responsibilities of the role.
