Job summary

HELP International School in Malaysia invites applications for a Learning Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis starting January 2027. The role supports teachers in delivering lessons, assisting with classroom activities, and helping students develop 21st-century skills in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Education or relevant field, has excellent English, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and a passion for working with international school

Qualifications

• Degree in Education or a related field is required or preferred.

• Experience in an international school setting is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under guidance and class teacher.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Programmes (IEPs) and monitor progress; support SEN students.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to participate in activities fully.
• Follow up on IEPs and assist with group learning activities as requested.
• Accompany students as they move around the school to specialist areas and support with specialists.

We seek to appoint a competent and enthusiastic Learning Teaching Assistant.

We require a Teaching Assistant who can share their passion and go the extra mile for the students in their charge, and an ability to maintain an orderly, collaborative learning environment for our students.

This is a temporary position commencing January 2027.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the Educational and Social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the management and class teacher

Assist in implementing Individual Education Programmes for students and help monitor their progress. Support with SEN students.

Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to participate in activities fully. Follow-up IEPs.

Assist class teacher with learning activities and group work as requested. Move from group to group to support learning.

Accompany students as they move around the school building to specialist areas, school nurses, buses, specialist lessons etc.

Support specialist teachers as required.

Job Requirements:

The candidate must possess at least a Degree in Education, or a relevant field preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English skills.

The candidate must have a solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices.

Passion for teaching and interacting with the students.

Relevant teaching experience in an international school setting would be advantageous.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Creative and willing to accept new ideas and concepts in teaching and education.

Possess good planning, organizing, coordinating, presentation, and time management skills.
