Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with teachers and teaching assistants and provide support where required.
  • Prepare learning materials, resources and classroom equipment for lessons.
  • Support students individually or in small groups to consolidate lesson material.
  • Assist students with additional learning requirements, including ESL learners.
  • Observe and support students' progress and provide individualised assistance under teacher guidance.
  • Work with the Homeroom Teacher to monitor the class schedule and classroom activities.
  • Reinforce school and classroom rules and appropriate student behaviour.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, respectful and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supervise students during specialist lessons, venue transitions, recess and lunch according to the duty roster.
  • Accompany students during excursions, trips and special school events when required.
  • Attend relevant meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Build positive relationships with students, teachers, colleagues and parents.
  • Uphold the School’s mission, values and applicable SEGi Group policies and procedures.

Job description

We are seeking a caring, responsible and proactive Teacher Assistant to work closely with the Homeroom Teacher and teaching team. The role supports classroom activities, student learning and wellbeing while helping to maintain a safe, organised and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities
