Job summary

SERI BOTANI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL SDN BHD in Ipoh, Perak, invites applications for an Assistant Teacher role in an international school setting. The candidate will assist in pedagogy development, co-curricular activities, and safeguarding students during lessons and outings.

The position requires a Bachelor degree in Teaching/Training or equivalent, with at least 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Fluency in multiple languages and good ICT skills are preferred; based in Ipoh.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Qualifications/ Bachelor degree/ Teaching & Training or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years teaching or tutoring experience in an international school setting.
• Strong commitment and a passionate educator with high levels of professionalism and care for children.
• Fluency in multiple languages, effective communication and ICT literacy are desirable.

Job description

To be updated with education pedagogy/development and emerging technologies.

To assist with implementation of co-curricular activities.

To actively participate in school activities and events.

To assist in safeguarding the students’ safety and welfare.

To assist and ensure that all duties are carried out professionally, ethically and in a timely manner.

To prepare materials for lessons and decorate the classroom.

To clean and sanitize all materials / teaching aids used.

To accompany students on field trips or other outing events.

To monitor students during lunch breaks and recess to ensure they are well-behaved.

Be present in staff meetings and other school functions.

To supervise students to ensure they engage in learning during lessons.

To be in charge of the After‑School Programme.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Qualifications/ Bachelor degree/ Teaching & Training or equivalent.

A minimum of 2 years teaching or tutoring experience as an Assistant Teacher in an international school setting.

Strong commitment and a passionate educator with high levels of professionalism and care for children.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in multiple languages, proficiency in delivering presentations, computer literacy, and the ability to operate basic ICT devices.
