Job summary

Stampede Solution is seeking an L2 IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role bridges front-line support with senior infrastructure teams to maintain and enhance our IT systems across multiple platforms.

You will provide second-level support, monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and help design infrastructure improvements while documenting configurations and collaborating with vendors.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of IT infrastructure support or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Experience with storage, backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Experience with ITSM tools and ticketing systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical teams.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/Microsoft are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level technical support for IT infrastructure issues (servers, networking, storage, virtualization).
• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure for performance, availability and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues escalated from first-line support.
• Perform system upgrades, patches and maintenance with minimal downtime.
• Configure, deploy and manage servers, network devices and infrastructure components.
• Assist in design and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions.
• Document configurations, procedures and resolutions for knowledge management.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve issues.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure optimisation projects.
