Job summary

NTT DATA Malaysia is seeking a Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L1) to be the first point of contact for clients, keeping IT infrastructure and systems running at high availability.

You will monitor and resolve incidents, perform patching and configuration changes, support across Cloud, Security, Networking, and Applications, and contribute to knowledge bases and disaster recovery tests, always prioritizing a positive client experience.

Qualifications

• Entry-level troubleshooting and support experience in security, network, data centre, or storage.
• Basic knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and ITIL processes.
• Disciplined in handling tickets day-to-day; acts per SOPs.
• Resolves many tickets using knowledge articles or SOPs.
• Good understanding of ITSM tools.
• Ability to plan activities and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Client-centric approach to understand requirements and ensure a positive experience.
• Ability to communicate across cultures.
• Proficiency in active listening and not interrupting.
• Positive attitude; willing to work longer hours.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT or Computing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client infrastructure and identify problems before or as they occur.
• Provide telephonic, ITSM ticket or chat support for incidents and requests.
• Perform maintenance such as patching and configuration changes.
• Work across Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications, or Collaboration.
• Update knowledge articles or create new ones; support project work and disaster recovery tests.
• Ensure service continuity with seamless handovers and escalate when necessary.
