Grand Majo Caterers is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper for a full-time role in Cheras, Selangor. The role involves supporting kitchen operations, food preparation, and ensuring a clean, safe environment while working with a professional culinary team.

You will help with washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients, and assist with inventory and event setup as needed. Fluency in Malay and/or English is essential for effective teamwork.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join the team at Grand Majo Caterers. This is a full-time position based in Cheras, Selangor. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that our catering services run smoothly and efficiently. You will work alongside our experienced culinary team to prepare, cook, and present food to the highest standards whilst maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation tasks including washing, peeling, chopping and sorting of ingredients
• Supporting senior kitchen staff in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and standards
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils and equipment
• Organising and storing ingredients and finished products in accordance with food safety regulations
• Assisting with inventory management and reporting of stock levels to the kitchen manager
• Operating kitchen equipment safely and correctly, following all health and safety guidelines
• Supporting the setup and breakdown of catering events as required
• Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Responding to requests from kitchen staff and assisting with special projects or tasks as needed

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, whether in a catering company, restaurant, or hospitality setting
• A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, with a commitment to maintaining high standards
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items safely
