Job summary

Mee Tarik Faizal Kong is seeking a hardworking Kitchen Helper / Kitchen Assistant to join our team. You will assist in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintain hygiene standards.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided. We offer six working days per week with weekends and public holidays, staff meals, and earned service charge entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all food preparation areas according to hygiene standards.
• Wash and store cooking equipment, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
• Assist in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping vegetables, fruits, poultry, and meat.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean kitchen walls to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Organize and store food supplies properly according to food safety standards.
• Transfer ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as instructed by the Cook.
• Assist in basic cooking tasks, including heating soups, sauces, and preparing beverages.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Company.

We are looking for a hardworking and responsible Kitchen Helper / Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Mee Tarik Faizal Kong. The successful candidate will assist in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Job Responsibilities

Properly clean and sanitize all food preparation areas according to established hygiene standards.

Wash and properly store cooking equipment, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.

Assist the Cook in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping vegetables, fruits, poultry, and meat.

Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean kitchen walls to maintain a hygienic working environment.

Organize and store food supplies properly according to food safety standards.

Transfer ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as instructed by the Cook.

Assist in basic cooking tasks, including heating soups, sauces, and preparing beverages.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Company from time to time.

Working Hours

6 working days per week.

Working hours based on the duty roster and operational requirements.

Required to work on weekends and public holidays according to the assigned schedule.

Job Requirements

No prior working experience required; training will be provided.

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is an added advantage.

Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.

Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Able to stand for long working hours.

Willing to work on weekends and public holidays.

Responsible, hardworking, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Possess a valid Food Handling Certificate and typhoid vaccination, or be willing to obtain them as required.
