Job summary

SHAHJEE RESOURCES ENTERPRISE in Putrajaya is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Crew member to support daily kitchen operations and uphold high standards of food preparation and presentation. This full-time role is integral to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will assist with food prep, maintain cleanliness, support with plating, and help manage inventory under guidance from senior kitchen staff. Experience is preferred, and training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients as per recipe specifications.
• Support cooking by preparing mise en place and ensuring ingredients are ready for the head chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across kitchen and equipment.
• Receive and store ingredients, check quality and expiry dates.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely under supervision.
• Assist with plating and garnishing to maintain presentation standards.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance at all times.
• Support inventory management and stock rotation.
• Respond to requests from senior kitchen staff and work collaboratively in the team.
• Help with general kitchen duties including dishwashing and waste disposal.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Crew member to join our culinary team at SHAHJEE RESOURCES ENTERPRISE in Putrajaya. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations and maintaining the high standards of food preparation and presentation that our guests expect. As part of our dynamic hospitality team, you will contribute directly to delivering exceptional dining experiences and ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with food preparation including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients according to recipe specifications
• Supporting the cooking process by preparing mise en place and ensuring all ingredients are ready for the head chef and cooking staff
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen, including regular cleaning of workstations, equipment and utensils
• Receiving and storing ingredients, checking for quality and proper expiry dates
• Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
• Assisting with plating and garnishing dishes to maintain presentation standards
• Maintaining food safety and sanitation compliance at all times
• Supporting inventory management and assisting with stock rotation
• Responding promptly to requests from senior kitchen staff and working collaboratively as part of the kitchen team
• Helping with general kitchen duties including dish washing and waste disposal
