About the role

We are seeking a Kitchen Crew member to join our dynamic culinary team at LAZY MONDAY 68 avenue, located in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our food service operations. As part of our kitchen brigade, you will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests whilst ensuring all food preparation meets our high standards of quality, hygiene and presentation. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our kitchen and the success of our establishment.

What you'll be doing

Preparing ingredients and components for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning food items

Assisting in the cooking and plating of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards

Maintaining a clean and organised work station and ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly used and maintained

Following food safety and hygiene protocols at all times to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations

Supporting senior chefs and kitchen staff with various culinary tasks and food preparation activities

Monitoring stock levels and communicating with management regarding ingredient requirements

Assisting with food service preparation and coordinating with front-of-house staff to ensure timely order fulfilment

Performing general kitchen duties including cleaning, washing up and waste management

What we're looking for

Basic culinary knowledge or previous experience working in a kitchen environment (either professional or voluntary)

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, with a willingness to maintain the highest standards

Physical fitness and stamina to manage demanding kitchen shifts and repetitive tasks

Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with other kitchen staff and management
