Job summary

TechTiera is seeking a Functional Test Engineer based in Kuala Lumpur to design, develop, and execute tests across all levels for payment system applications. Qualifications

• Familiarity with ISO8583 and ISO2022 specifications.

Responsibilities

Job description

This is a Functional Test Engineer role for Payment Systems based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will work closely with internal teams (business, application development, technical, operations) and external parties (vendors, financial institutions, merchants, billers) to design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing across all test levels for payment system applications.

Key responsibilities

Close collaboration with internal and external parties to gain clear understanding of business and user requirements

Design and develop test conditions, test cases, and expected results based on requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, and interface documents

Perform reviews on test documentation by peers

Ensure sufficient test coverage by inclusion of positive, negative, and regression test cases

Perform test preparation including setting up test environments and preparation of test data

Implement tests on all test levels, execute and log all tests, evaluate results and highlight deviations

Coordinate, execute, and support UAT activities with Financial Institutions, Merchants, Billers and within PayNet

Track defects raised during testing and follow up with relevant parties, perform re-testing on defect-fixes until closure

Update documentation on test execution and compile test results as evidence for reviews and decision-making

Report on test progress, execution completion, and status of test cases, escalating issues to respective people

About you

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working with card services like Visa and Mastercard

Familiarity with ISO8583 and ISO2022 specification

Experience in API tools like Postman is an added advantage

Experience in test automation is an added advantage

Analytical and logical thinking ability to analyze business situations and judge possible scenarios

Clear communicator and active listener, able to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively in verbal and written form

Able to handle multiple projects at any one time

Independent, requiring minimum supervision and able to understand user and technical requirements
