Job summary

ZMC TECHNOLOGIES provides field service and technical support for AOI equipment installed at customer sites. You will be responsible for installation, setup, testing and commissioning, together with preventive maintenance and routine servicing.

You will troubleshoot alarms, hardware faults, software issues and basic vision-related problems, support machine recovery to minimise downtime, and assist with calibration and system verification as part of a global service team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in electrical, electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reading electrical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and overseas for training or support.
• Good communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service and technical support for AOI equipment at customer sites.

Job description

Provide field service and technical support for AOI equipment installed at customer sites, including equipment installation, setup, testing, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

Support equipment installation, setup, testing, and commissioning

Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment servicing

Troubleshoot equipment alarms, hardware faults, software issues, and basic vision-related problems

Support machine recovery and minimise equipment downtime

Support calibration, alignment, and basic system verification activities

Assist senior engineers in complex troubleshooting and equipment upgrades

Communicate with equipment principals or overseas technical teams when further support is required

Prepare service reports and maintain proper records of maintenance and troubleshooting activities

Support customer requests and follow up on outstanding technical issues

Maintain good working relationships with customer engineering and production teams

About you

Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline

At least 1 year experience in semiconductor equipment, automation, machine vision, and troubleshooting

Basic understanding of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automation systems

Able to read basic electrical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving attitude

Able to work independently after training

Good communication skills in English

Willing to travel within Malaysia and occasionally overseas for training or project support

Willing to support customers in both Penang and Kulim
