Job summary

Test Research Innovation Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an AOI/SPI/AXI Field Application Engineer based in Johor to install, configure and support our automated inspection systems. You will train customers, analyze performance, and collaborate with R&D to drive improvements.

Fluency in English and Mandarin is highly valued, with willingness to travel for onsite support. The role requires a technical degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with on-call duty hours and overseas travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience in AOI/AXI operation/line support during night shifts.
• Knowledge in AOI/AXI equipment or license is a plus.
• Willing to travel overseas for onsite support as required.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin for Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Willing to be on 24/7 on-call with flexible duty hours.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot AOI, SPI, AXI systems at customer sites.

AOI/SPI/AXI Field Application Engineer [Based in Johor]

About the role

As an AOI/SPI/AXI Field Application Engineer at Test Research Innovation Malaysia Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for providing technical support and training to customers on the installation, operation and maintenance of our automated optical inspection (AOI), solder paste inspection (SPI) and automated x-ray inspection (AXI) systems. This is a full-time position based in Johor.

What you'll be doing

Installing, configuring and troubleshooting our AOI, SPI and AXI systems at customer sites

Providing on-site training to customers on the effective use and maintenance of the systems

Liaising with customers to understand their requirements and offer technical guidance and support

Analyzing system performance data and providing recommendations for optimisation

Collaborating with the R&D team to identify opportunities for product improvements

Maintaining detailed records of all customer interactions and support activities

Supporting the sales team in demonstrating the capabilities of our products to prospective customers

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field

Experience in AOI/AXI operation/line support activities on night shift.

Knowledge in AOI/AXI equipment or license will be an added advantage

At least 3 - 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Good learning attitude, hard work and commitment

Required skill(s): Visual Basic, SAP, Oracle, MS SQL Server, VB.NET, C#

Willing to travel overseas for onsite support as often as required, countries per Taiwan, South East Asia, India.

Willing to be flexible for duty hours, 24 – 7 on call. (Extra working hours shall be disbursed afterward.)

AXI / AOI / SPI presale skills are bonus.

Proficiency in English and Mandarin(We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients)
