Gamlite IT is seeking an Assistant Accounting to join the accounting department in Malaysia. The role focuses on accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and collaboration.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, have at least 3 years of experience, and be proficient in Autocount, UBS, and MS Office. Some overtime may be required in peak periods.

The Assistant Accounting supports the accounting department by performing a range of financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Process invoices and payments to vendors.

Prepare and issue invoices to clients.

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Maintain general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.

Record Keeping:

Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.

File and organize financial documents and reports.

Compliance and Audit:

Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Participate in the review of accounting processes and recommend improvements.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding financial matters.

Respond to inquiries related to financial records and transactions.

Administrative Duties:

Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and managing correspondence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Previous experience in an accounting or finance role preferred. At least with minimum 3 years of working experience.

Proficiency in accounting software (Autocount & UBS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
