Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience in IT support for financial applications.
• Strong Java and Oracle DB skills with familiarity in Windows/UNIX/Linux environments.
• Experience with WebSphere deployments and Unit Trust domain workflows.
• Hands-on scripting on Windows and Unix; knowledge of MS-DOS helpful.
• Familiar with Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

Application Technical Support role providing system support and management of enhancements for Unit Trust applications. The role involves specializing in the Unit Trust Domain and performing Level 2 and 3 production support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide system support and manage enhancements for Unit Trust application
• Perform Level 2 and 3 of production support
• Perform problem investigation - problem identification, root cause analysis, solution definition and implementation
• Work closely with users to understand their needs and issues
• Manage system risks and conjure improvements to mitigate and manage risks
• Liaise with vendor on the Scope of Work, enhancements progress and fix implementations
• 24 x 7 on call support

About you

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the same capacity
• Technical knowledge on Java and Oracle Database
• Platform knowledge on Windows, UNIX/Linux (Solaris) and WebSphere web deployments
• Strong application knowledge of Unit Trust origination and workflow systems
• Hands-on experience on Windows and Unix scripting, MS-DOS working experience and support
• Familiar with tools and practices such as Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum Methodology
• Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and team player
• Knowledge in Banking IT environment will be a plus
• Able to work with cross border colleagues
