Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an IT support professional to install, configure, and maintain hardware and software across production environments. You will handle PCs, tablets, and mobile devices, coordinate network cabling, VLANs, DNS, and antivirus setup for production testers.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, setting up AV equipment, performing shift handovers, and providing ad-hoc IT assistance as needed. A Diploma or Degree in CS/IS with 1 year in production IT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science or Information System.
• 1 year of experience in factory production IT support is an advantage.
• Good basic TCP/IP networking knowledge (LAN/WAN).
• Strong hardware and software assembly, upgrades, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Able to troubleshoot PCs and laptops running various Windows versions.
• Able to test and evaluate new software and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Follow up and coordinate on network cabling and access point installations.
• Assist and troubleshoot network devices and servers.
• Coordinate with vendors for new IT hardware arrival, collection and installation.
• Setup network configurations for production machines and testers.
• Change network VLAN and register DNS for IT equipment.
• Install and configure antivirus on production testers.
• Meetings room setup and AV equipment support.
• Provide shift pass-down with incident details for oncoming shifts.
• Ad-hoc event support.
• Inventory control and asset management for hardware and software.
• Provide assistance on other IT matters as requested.

• Supporting Hours: 8am to 8pm / 8pm to 8am support on rotating basis.
• Setup, install and support IT hardware, software, company PDA, tablet, and mobile phones.
• Follow up and coordination on network cabling & network access point installations.
• Assistance and troubleshooting on network devices and servers.
• Coordination with vendor for new IT hardware arrival, collection and installation.
• Setup network configuration for all new machines, tester and handler at production.
• Change network VLAN, register DNS for all IT equipment and machines in production.
• Antivirus installation & configuration on production testers.
• Meeting room setup and support, including projector, Audio Visual (AV) conference equipment.
• To have a shift pass-down for past 12 hours incidents to next onsite shift-support IT personnel with detail problem statement, root cause and resolutions shared.
• Ad-hoc event support.
• Inventory control and asset management for hardware and software.
• Provide assistance on other IT matters as and when requested.

Requirements:

• Certificate/Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science/ Information System.
• 1 years working experience in support factory production environment would be add advantage.
• Good knowledge in basic configuration about TCP/IP networking (LAN/WAN).
• Possess good hardware and software assembly, upgrades, repairs, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Able to troubleshoot PCs and laptops that runs under various version of Windows OS.
• Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
