Job summary

OSC Orthopaedic Specialist Centre is seeking a proactive IT Executive to support and maintain our hospital IT infrastructure, HIS, networks, and devices. You will provide user support, manage backups, security, and ensure system availability in a demanding healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate holds an IT/ICT degree or diploma, at least 5 years of relevant healthcare IT experience, and strong hardware, software, and office productivity skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, ICT, CS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT/ICT experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience in hospital/healthcare settings is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of hardware, software, networking and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Set up new employees with computers, accounts, software, and access.
• Support and maintain the Hospital Information System (HIS) and other ICT systems.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Perform system backups and ensure data security and availability.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Executive to support and maintain the hospital’s IT infrastructure, systems, network, hardware, software, and Hospital Information System (HIS). The successful candidate will provide technical support to users, troubleshoot IT issues, maintain data security and system availability, and support the overall ICT operations of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Set up computers, user accounts, software, and system access for new employees.
• Support and maintain the Hospital Information System (HIS) and other ICT systems.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Perform system backups and ensure hospital data is properly secured and protected.
• Maintain IT equipment, asset tagging, inventory records, software licences, and warranty information.
• Monitor and support CCTV, access control, internet, video conferencing, and other IT-related facilities.
• Coordinate with external IT consultants, service providers, suppliers, and vendors when required.
• Manage procurement, repair, servicing, and documentation of ICT and AV equipment.
• Ensure compliance with IT security, software licensing, hospital policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT/ICT experience.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
