in Malaysia is seeking an Information Technology Executive to support the MIS Manager in managing IT infrastructure, systems, security, end-user support and departmental objectives. You will administer Office 365, Windows Server, Active Directory and VMware; handle LAN/Wi‑Fi, endpoint security, hardware, POS systems and IT governance to ensure smooth operations across HQ, boutiques and events.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking or related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on IT/MIS experience preferred.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Administration, Windows Server and Active Directory, VMware, LAN/Wi‑Fi, antivirus/endpoint security, Windows 10/11 and hardware peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Support MIS Manager in managing IT infrastructure, systems, security and end-user support.
• Administer MS Office 365, Windows Server, AD and VMware environments.
• Provide daily end-user assistance for laptops, desktops, printers and IT equipment.
• Assist MIS initiatives, SOPs and governance to meet department KPIs and objectives.

Job description

The candidate will support the MIS Manager in managing the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, security, end-user support, and departmental objectives.

Infrastructure & System Administration

Support and administer Microsoft Office 365, including user accounts, email, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and access permissions.

Support Windows Server administration, Active Directory, user accounts, Group Policy and shared folders.

Manage and monitor the VMware virtual environment, including virtual machines, resource utilization and basic troubleshooting.

Manage and maintain Wi-Fi Access Points (APs) and assist with LAN/network connectivity troubleshooting.

Monitor and manage the Antivirus / Endpoint Security Management Console, including endpoint status, alerts, updates and compliance.

Perform routine system monitoring, backup checking, maintenance and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.

End-User & Hardware Support

Provide daily technical support for laptops, desktops, printers and other IT equipment.

Setup and configure new PCs/laptops, including Windows, Microsoft Office, applications, antivirus, network access and user accounts.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and user-access issues.

Perform basic hardware maintenance, upgrades and replacement of faulty components.

Maintain proper IT asset records and equipment assignments.

Provide technical support for POS / Cashier Systems at boutiques, warehouse sales, exhibitions and other company locations.

Setup cashier PCs, printers, network connections and related peripherals.

Troubleshoot POS application, hardware, printing and connectivity issues.

Coordinate with users and system vendors for issues requiring escalation.

MIS Governance & Department Support

Assist in reviewing and updating MIS policies, SOPs, documentation and technical procedures.

Ensure IT operations comply with company policies, security requirements and established procedures.

Maintain system documentation, inventory records, support records and technical documentation.

Assist the MIS Manager with infrastructure improvements, system implementation and MIS projects.

Support the MIS Manager in achieving departmental KPI, OGSM and other departmental goals.

Perform other MIS-related duties assigned by the MIS Manager.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking or related field.

Preferably 2-4 years of hands-on IT/MIS experience.

Practical knowledge of:

Microsoft Office 365 Administration

Windows Server & Active Directory

VMware

LAN/Wi-Fi and Access Point management

Antivirus / Endpoint Security Console

Windows 10/11

PC and laptop hardware troubleshooting

Printer and peripheral support

Basic understanding of IT security, backup, access control and IT governance.

Able to troubleshoot problems independently and elevate appropriately.

Good documentation, communication and problem-solving skills.

Willing to provide technical support to HQ, branches/boutiques and company events when required.
