Jora Malaysia is seeking an IT Engineer to support IT infrastructure, equipment connectivity, and data communication between semiconductor manufacturing equipment and customer factory systems.
The role collaborates with customer IT, equipment engineering, automation, manufacturing and process engineering teams to enable equipment integration, network connectivity, data collection and smart manufacturing initiatives.

The IT Engineer is responsible for supporting IT infrastructure, equipment connectivity, manufacturing systems and data communication between semiconductor manufacturing equipment and customer factory systems.
The position will work closely with customer IT, equipment engineering, automation, manufacturing and process engineering teams to support equipment integration, network connectivity, data collection and smart manufacturing initiatives.
Configure and maintain PCs, industrial computers, network equipment and communication systems.
Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and industrial network connectivity.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, IP address, firewall and communication issues.
Configure switches, routers and network devices where required.
Support communication between manufacturing equipment and factory systems.
Support SECS/GEM and related semiconductor equipment communication standards.
Troubleshoot communication failures between equipment, host systems and factory networks.
Support equipment integration during installation and commissioning.
Support integration between equipment and MES systems.
Assist with equipment data collection and production traceability.
Support machine status, alarm, lot and recipe data integration.
Assist with database and production-data connectivity.
Support Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing projects.
Install and configure operating systems and application software for industrial PCs.
Maintain equipment software configurations.
Perform software backup and recovery.
Troubleshoot software-related equipment problems.
Support software upgrades and system migration.
Follow customer cybersecurity requirements.
Maintain antivirus, access control and system security requirements.
Support user-access management.
Ensure equipment computers are properly protected and documented.
Follow customer IT policies when connecting equipment to production networks.
Work directly with customer IT, engineering and automation teams.
Support equipment installation and network integration.
Troubleshoot system communication problems at customer sites.
Prepare technical reports and system documentation.
Provide training and technical guidance to customers when required.
