Job summary

EDV Werke in Kuala Lumpur seeks an IT Business Analyst (Cloud Solutions) to bridge business needs with cloud-native tech. The role is hybrid in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a mix of workshops, documentation, and collaboration across international teams.

You will elicit requirements, optimize processes, manage backlogs, and validate solutions through UAT, ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality standards. Solid cloud and Agile experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering or related field.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and cloud-native environments.
• Experience in Platform Engineering or DevSecOps for cloud solutions.
• Strong requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with Agile methodologies in cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

EDV Werke is looking for a IT Business Analyst (Cloud Solutions).

Working Model: Hybrid / Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Form of cooperation: B2B Contract / Perm

Tasks:

• Requirements Elicitation & Analysis – Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Business Process Optimization – Analyze existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support automation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Solution Documentation & User Stories – Create business process flows, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting project documentation.
• Agile Product Backlog Management – Manage and refine product backlogs, epics, features, and user stories while supporting backlog prioritization and release planning.
• Cloud Solution Analysis – Gather and document requirements for cloud-native applications, microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise system integrations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication – Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, presenting recommendations and facilitating solution alignment.
• Testing & Solution Validation – Coordinate User Acceptance Testing, support defect triage, validate delivered solutions, and ensure business objectives and quality standards are achieved.

Must-Have Skills:

• Educational Background – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Cloud Platform Experience – Experience working with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and cloud-native application environments.
• Platform Engineering Knowledge – Experience within Platform Engineering or DevSecOps environments supporting modern cloud solutions.
• Business Analysis Expertise – Strong experience gathering requirements, writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional business documentation.
• Integration & Architecture Knowledge – Experience with microservices, REST APIs, cloud-native applications, and enterprise system integrations.
• Agile Delivery Experience – Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, within cross-functional international teams.
• Stakeholder & Analytical Skills – Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, Jira, Confluence, and communication skills with an ownership mindset.

Nice-to have Skills:

• Process Modeling Skills – Experience with BPMN, UML, process mapping, and business process modeling techniques.
